Yom Kippur: Instructions On The 25 Hour Fast of Atonement

Micah 7:18-20

 
18 Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.

19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

Dear Sons of Abraham in Christ Jesus, 25 Hours Fast of Atonement starting Tuesday (6p.m.) 18th of September to Wednesday (7p.m.) 19th of September 2018.In compliance to the biblical command for the beginning of every seventh month that marks the beginning of our Abrahamic (Jewish/Christian) new year , as found in Leviticus 23 verses 23-32 , our father in the Lord, Apostle Kure has commanded that we observe the 25 hour fast of atonement.

 
As noted above it begins from 6pm of 18th of November and ends 7pm, 19th of September.

We have deliberately chosen the above scripture in Malachi to point to the fact that the day of atonement is a day to draw from the eternal love of God towards all men. This is expressed as his mercy, compassion and desire that all men be saved that they may serve Him in Holiness and righteousness all the days of their lives.

The scripture is apt because it captures the essence of atonement as our sins being subdued by God and being cast into the depths of the sea.

The New Testament companion of this scripture would be Colossians 2 verses 10- 15. This scripture opens up the truth that we are complete in Christ, who is the head of all principality and power in whom we are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ.

Verses 12-13 expounds this as identifying through faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ marked by the forgiveness of our trespasses as we yield to Him. The word used to reflect this is BEING BURIED WITH HIM IN BAPTISM.

Verses 14-15 seals it by revealing that atonement involves the blotting away of handwritings of ordinances that was against us, which is contrary to us by nailing it to the cross of Jesus, thereby putting it out of the way.

This is amazingly concluded as involving the act of warfare described as:

“And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a public show of them openly, triumphing over them in it”.

Atonement seen in these lights of scripture becomes a season we can not ignore. It is one of the seasons that reveal the love of God hidden in time.

it is appointed to cut off the roots that can destroy us. A portal of hope is opened on a day like this and we will be foolish to miss it or take it lightly. Its seriousness is marked in the Leviticus 23 rendition that says that those who do not observe this command disown themselves from the covenant of being the sons the covenant. So it is a day to receive the seal of God in our lives and families. It is also a good time to set the thrones of judgement against the principalities and powers that trouble us and our nation.

In line with this we are commanded across our towers, in our homes, business etc to observe this fast by:
  1. Gathering in our Towers at 6pm to flag off the fast together through prayers. Same applies to families and possibly businesses that can arrange same.
  2. Use the Hours of 11pm of 18th September to 1.am of 19th September to set judgement against the wicked spirits in our lands, houses, cities, and nations. As we know spirits operate through men and also have access to us through the acts of men. So the judgement must include asking the Lord to pass through the land to publicly weed out wicked and evil men from our nations.
  3. This midnight watch is compulsory. Towers are to gather together, but where for peculiar reasons it is not feasible, families and members must keep the watch in their homes. Covenant partners are enjoined to observe this in their homes or businesses if they can not join our Towers.
  4. However, Lagos state Lekki Tower, as directed of the Lord must gather corporately in this midnight watch to pray for Lagos state and the politics of 2019 that is threatening to abort the destiny of the state as prophesied earlier in the year by our father in the Lord, Prophet Kure. They should mobilize as an alarm beyond our members all intercessors, watchmen and praying churches to join them in this cry.
Prayer Focus
  1. Spend the 25 hours fast solemnly in prayer and study of the word. Use the time to number your sins and repent and ask for grace to be totally converted or simply put ask for divine help to change from the ways of sin.
  2. Ask the Lord , as the blood of the Lamb atones for your sin, to deliver you from all contradictions in character. Ask Him to severe from your inner man all foundations that make you look like a graven image and not the image of God. Remember it is the year of birthing.
  3. Ask Him to literally fulfill the Colossians 2 scripture in your life. Let him quicken you out of all trespasses and their consequences and plant you in Him and in Him ask that you be reborn as His image and likeness on the earth.
  4. Ask the Lord to put a seal of life upon you and your household as those who will by mercy and His righteousness become the symbols of His goodness made manifest in this year. Remember that it is the year of God crowning us with His goodness.
  5. It is the year that is connected to the 70th year Jeremiah chapter 25 verses 12-15 prophecies of God over Israel. The year when the goodness of God overwhelms and spoils evil. In the words of Apostle Kure, Good will be on the vengeance against evil and wickedness so that Gods great plans for us will not be wasted. We must by this fast sanctify ourselves into this divine agenda.
  6. Ask that the Lord find you in the womb and loins of your fathers. Demand that as He does this let Him cut you loose from their aprons and shadow and let Him stamp you back on the earth with your own peculiar identity. Following the cue from Jeremiah 1:5-6 Ask the Lord to sanctify you and release you in His fullness to fulfill the reason why you are born. Decree that your life will not be wasted.
  7. Taking another cue from Isaiah 49:3-5 decree that by this fast in YOU, He God , will be glorified. Call forth this scripture and call for the purpose and glory for which you are born. Let the covenant of this fast of atonement separate you, taking away every veil that has stood between you and Gods divine purpose. Invoke your release into the purpose for which You are born. Let your real identity begin and let this fast mark the announcement of your purpose and clothing with all endowment to fulfill this purpose.
  8. Tell the Lord by the atonement law to set you free from all legal foundations that justified any form of captivity, spiritual and physical. Tell Him that this is a fast of agreement that His will revealed for this year in Isaiah 66 verses 7-14 be fulfilled in your life and family.Decree ,that by this fast you will be amongst them whom He will do the things which men will hear and see that has never been before but will bring Gladness to you and glory to God. Proclaim that you identify with Isreal and the prophecies contained in these verses will be written as your testimony from this fast. Ask that His hand open over you for good but to your enemies for indignation and shame.
  9. As we repent for our nations and their evil starting from immediately to past rulers ask the Lord according to Isaiah 24 verse 21-23 to execute judgement against the Spirit of wickedness called the host of the high ones and their human horses across the nations of the earth. Pray for the politics of your nation taking cognizance of the peculiar occurrences that trouble it asking decreeing judgement in the manner of this scripture. Insist that the Lord from this atonement period take over the reign of power and establish His Will across the nations of the earth. In Nigeria let us pray into the present election asking the Lord to show and manifest to Nigeria this promised Goodness by overturning the system to disfavor the wicked and evil ones so that the good will rule.
  10. Following the truth that spoiling of spirits is key to our liberty as shown in Colossians 2 use the midnight hour to ask God to Passover the issues of your life, your family and nation doing according to this scripture by His power and the working of His angels.
  11. Ensure that you renew covenants with God while obeying the wisdom that comes with this season in Leviticus 23 that each man and family is to appear with different sacrifices. Seal by these sacrifices of offerings a covenant with God for the rest of the year.
  12. Thank God for answering your prayers and spend time to praise him before you break your fast at 7pm of 19th. Be assured that your release is began by your obedience.
